FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Jeannine Pearce for Long Beach City Council Campaign is proud to announce the endorsement of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 11. Here's what IBEW Local 11 Business Manager, Kevin Norton, had to say:
"Jeannine Pearce is the clear choice for Long Beach City Council. We are an organization that relies on the success of several hundred small businesses to employ our members. We believe that good jobs created by a thriving business climate, can solve many of the challenges in our community. Jeannine's ability to bring small businesses and labor together to forge real solutions separates her from her opponents. Her core belief in civic engagement and ensuring all voices are included in policy decisions will benefit all the residents of Long Beach. IBEW local 11 is one of the largest unions in the City of Long Beach, where a large number of our 12,000 members call home. The hardworking members of IBEW Local 11 are proud to support Jeannine Pearce for City Council."
Jeannine Pearce is a longtime 2nd District resident and is running for the Long Beach City Council to ensure that all residents are well represented in local government. Her priorities include supporting a thriving and growing local economy, building a clean and safe environment for residents to flourish and a commitment to collaboration with all stakeholders.
Jeannine's personal story is characterized by struggle and perseverance. Adopted at a young age, Jeannine grew up very poor. She moved out of her home at the age of 16 and has worked since then.
